Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where darkness meets creativity, and polymer clay becomes a canvas for expressing the beauty of nature and the macabre. I'm Jen, a hairstylist and salon owner by day, and a passionate artist by night. Allow me to share a bit of my journey with you.

The year 2020 was a pivotal moment for many of us, a time when the world seemed to stand still amidst the chaos. Like many others, I found myself grappling with the sudden closure of my salon due to the global lockdowns. With my business shuttered for five long months total that year, I was faced with an unexpected surplus of spare time. But within the confines of those uncertain days, I discovered something truly magical – polymer clay. What began as a simple pastime soon blossomed into a full-blown passion, igniting my creative spirit in ways I never thought possible.

As an artist at heart, I've always been drawn to the allure of handmade jewelry. However, I couldn't help but notice a common trend among the pieces available – they were vibrant, lively, and bursting with color or they were mostly neutrals. While undoubtedly beautiful, they didn't quite capture the essence of the aesthetic I held dear to my heart. I've always had a penchant for the dark and the mysterious, finding beauty in the shadows and solace in the unknown. My love for the macabre, coupled with a deep appreciation for nature's untamed beauty, inspired me to carve out my own niche in the world of jewelry making.

Thus, my journey into creating moody polymer clay jewelry was born. Drawing inspiration from the haunting elegance of gothic architecture, the enchanting allure of Halloween, and the serene melancholy of cottage core, I set out to craft pieces that spoke to the souls of like-minded individuals.

Each piece I create is a labor of love, from intricately detailed florals to skeleton cats.

So, whether you're a fellow lover of the macabre, a seeker of beauty in the unconventional, or simply someone who marches to the beat of their own drum, I invite you to join me on this journey.

With so much gratitude and love,

Jen
